I had been to Hamlin Bay at Christmas time...that was when I captured the images of the rays and the blue skies, and I was looking forward to getting some early morning low-light shots. So yesterday morning, I had woken up early and decided to jump in the car and drive down there...and I'm glad I did!
Once again, the sky did not dissappoint me, with magic texture and colours. There seemed to be a dominant purple in both the sky and the water, quite similar to some of the colourings from the Sugarloaf shots...must be a time of morning thing perhaps?...it was in that 15 minute zone between dark and dawn...
For the larger shot to the right, settings were as follows:
F-Stop: f/10
Exposure time: 15 seconds
ISO Speed: ISO-100
Exposure Bias: -0.7 step
Focal Length: 13mm
Hope you like them,
Cheers,
Erin
COMMENTS:
Hi Erin...I love the greens and purples in the water and the sky...it looks almost alien and yet familiar...a great effect!
Cheers,
Margie
Thanks Margie...yes it was a beautiful morning with rich textures and amazing colours. This is a great time for getting out there and shooting early or late...the light is incredible and a real pleasure to work with.
