Erin Hearne Photography is run by Erin & Anna Hearne, and has grown from a passion into a fully fledged business taking on the best in the world. Erin started his career in Design, after graduating with an Industrial Design degree from Newcastle University in the early '90's. He then moved into both Graphic Design and Industrial Design roles throughout Sydney and Auckland.
But it was always photography that beckoned, and the ability to capture the image and manipulate it was always exciting. His grandmother gave him his first camera, a Pentax 35mm fully manual camera, and it was with this that his first explorations into photography began.
At university, a semester was spent learning the secrets of the dark room, and this combined well with his love of airbrushing. And then something happened that changed Erin's world forever...Photoshop!. When he first started using Photoshop in 1995, it was not a love at first sight affair! But like any good relationship, it soon blossomed with intensity and fire, and went on to become a constant companion throughout his design career and then his love of photography as well.
Now, with high end digital SLR cameras and the hardware and software to maximise the captured image, Erin's true creativity can be fully explored. Some of the images are as they were shot, some are enhanced and some are manipulated to become HYPER- REALISM, as if in a dreamscape in your sleeping mind.
Travel has been a large part of Erin and Anna's lives over the last few years, and has taken them to some far away places...and some just around the corner. And the camera has always been there...waiting for that special moment to capture and then share.
